Introduction
Career Biography
Prior to working within the private sector, I worked as a paramedic within the NHS for 18 years. During this time I gained clinical experience in 999 emergencies, working on ambulances and rapid response vehicles.
I became a manager with responsibility for running 2 ambulance stations. The stations provided ambulance, rapid response vehicles and patient transport services.
In addition, I became a Bronze Commander for the ambulance service. This leadership role involved working with other agencies (eg police, fire, local authorities) and had two functions:
- Organising the necessary medical care and ensuring public safety at large gatherings and events
- Dealing with patient care at any major incidents within the district
- My professional memberships are with:
- Health Care Professions Council – State Registered Paramedic (registration number is PA 03765)
- The Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care
On leaving the NHS, I became an Operational Director for a private company providing medical staff. I had responsibility for running a number of private and public sector contracts.
I have extensive experience of organising the necessary and appropriate level of medical cover for events, both in the UK and Europe. These range from festivals, sporting events, TV film sets, children’s residential summer camps, concerts, high-profile PR events and company functions.
I moved on to become a General Manager within a multi-million-pound private medical service company. During this time I managed 6 ambulance stations covering East Anglia and Central England. In November 2013, I decided to set up Private Paramedic Services. Excellent patient care and safety are at the forefront of our operations. Our relationships with our clients are really important to us, and we look forward to working closely with you in order to deliver this.
